Providing Comprehensive Dental Care for Over 30 Years

Gerald S. Hirsch, D.D.S. graduated from Newburyport High School in 1966. He did his undergraduate work at the University of New Hampshire and went on to graduate with honors from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1974.

Dr. Hirsch began as an associate in the dental practice of Dr. Edward Wheeler in Lynn. After four years, in 1978, he returned to his home town of Newburyport to open his own practice. He has continued the practice of general dentistry in Newburyport for the past 29 years.

During that time he has performed all aspects of dentistry including restorative dentistry, periodontal surgery, extractions and other oral surgical procedures, cosmetic dentistry and placing and restoring implants. Dr. Hirsch is a member of the North Shore Dental Society, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Having grown up in Newburyport and lived here most of his life, Dr. Hirsch has also devoted time to the community as a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Newburyport.

Anne-Marie Clancy, D.M.D. joined the practice of Gerald S. Hirsch, D.D.S. in 2002. Before practicing in Newburyport she practiced in her hometown of Holliston.

She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2001. At Tufts Dr. Clancy was a member of the Clinical Honors Program and a member of the Bates-Andrews Society, which is focused on dental research. She represented Tufts University at the International Association of Dental Research Conference where she presented one of her projects on restorative dentistry. She served as the class Vice President.

Dr. Clancy received her Bachelors Degree from Assumption College in 1997 where she majored in biology with a minor in chemistry. She was active in community service projects in the city of Worcester and played soccer.

Dr. Clancy is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, The North Shore District Dental Society, The Rotary Club of Newburyport, and The Newburyport Mother's Club. She lives in Newburyport with her husband and children.
